How Do We Keep Leaders From Leaving?

Healthcare operations are becoming more complex, patients are sicker, and the demands on leaders are higher than ever. Leaders who step into these roles are not lasting. High turnover, increasing pressures, and the lack of systemic support are weakening the foundation.

What happens when those who steer the ship are not at their best? Quality of care declines. Teams lose their direction. Facilities face instability.

We must rethink how we prepare, support, and retain our leaders. This means creating different pathways into leadership roles and providing the mentorship and tools needed to navigate the complexity of the work.

We can’t afford to get this wrong. The time to build dynamic leaders is now.
